Clay is the Way is a new camp offering for middle school campers to explore the wonders of clay. We will look for and hopefully dig clay in the nearby creek to see what we can make with it. We will also create using earthenware, raku and polymer clays, firing the work in different ways. We will develop skills in hand building techniques and decorating to make both functional and sculptural objects. If you’d like, you may try throwing on a potter’s wheel. We will do all this and more as we carry on the traditions of camp!
